INCONEL 600 PIPE

The utilization of Inconel 600, a nickel-chromium alloy renowned for its ability to withstand corrosion and high temperatures, is common in applications that necessitate these specific characteristics. Inconel 600, a nickel-based alloy, has been specifically engineered to operate effectively in temperatures ranging 2000℉from extremely low (cryogenic) to extremely high. Thanks to its substantial nickel content, Inconel 600 maintains formidable resistance in reducing environments, demonstrates resistance to corrosion from various organic and inorganic substances, and gives it excellent resistance to chloride-ion stress-corrosion cracking, and also provides excellent resistance to alkaline solutions.

With its high resistance to stress-corrosion cracking and caustic corrosion, as well as impressive high-temperature strength and oxidation resistance, Inconel 600 alloy stands out as an exceptional material choice for demanding applications. Inconel 600 alloy is highly sought after for a variety of industrial applications including chemical and petrochemical processing, nuclear and automotive engineering, and thermal processing.

Inconel 600 alloy’s high chromium content makes it highly resistant to oxidizing conditions of sulfuric acid, surpassing the resistance of both Nickel 200 and MONEL alloy 400. The corrosion resistance of Inconel 600 alloy against cold, non-aerated sulfuric acid solutions is generally sufficient up to a concentration of approximately 70%.

This nickel alloy is commonly used in industries such as chemical, pulp and paper, aerospace, nuclear engineering, and heat treatment.
