ASTM A240 UNS S32760 Plate is a specialized super duplex stainless steel alloy designed for specific and unique usage requirements. A super duplex is a type of steel that combines both ferrite and austenitic steel grades in its composition. The combination of ferrite and austenite steel structures in super duplex results in exceptional corrosion resistance and impressive tensile strength.
SA 240 UNS S32760 Sheet is a preferred choice for deploying on metal lattice surfaces in ships, tanks, and containers due to its exceptional strength and durability. UNS S32760 F55 coils not only withstand high pressure in systems but also maintain their durability over prolonged periods.
The marine environment presents a significant corrosion risk to metals, as a consequence of the concentrated presence of chloride ions and salt water. Due to its unique composition and ability to withstand harsh conditions, Super Duplex UNS S32760 Strips are the preferred choice for use in marine environments.
Super Duplex S32750 and Super Duplex S32760 have a comparable chemical composition, with the only difference being that the latter contains a slightly higher amount of copper and tungsten. UNS S32760, with a copper content of minimum 0.5 and maximum 1.0, exhibits exceptional resistance to corrosion in a variety of non-oxidizing and mineral acids, including sulfuric and hydrochloric acid.
